Peace in Our Cities is a diverse network driven by members who are tackling severe forms of violence. They partner together around the world to achieve one bold, unifying goal: halving urban violence in cities by 2030. After years of work, the organization received a grant for a brand and website to spotlight the work of members and provide an online forum for people to convene.

Logo and Visual Identity

A brand designed to communicate unity

Peace in Our Cities needed an updated logo to match the bold, upbeat style of their new website. The new logo emphasizes the word “peace” and uses approachable, human-centered typography to convey a sense of calm.

Designing a website for a unique global platform

A key need for the site was to showcase the work of member cities because they are aware of their local dynamics, responsive to their inhabitants, and efficiently implementing life-saving ideas. We created adaptable city pages that adjust to the varying amount of information provided by each city. Since the organization doesn’t have full-time employees, it was crucial to have an easy-to-maintain and intuitive back-end experience.
