World Relief is an international relief and development agency that partners with churches and local volunteers to tackle the world’s toughest problems. Their initiatives include disaster response, refugee and immigration services, economic development, and peacebuilding. The scope and scale of their work touches millions of people in more than a hundred countries.
We partnered with World Relief to design their 2016 and 2017 annual reports alongside a suite of evergreen print pieces—a book, brochure, and poster—designed to reach their broad audience.
The 2016 and 2017 annual reports compellingly communicate World Relief’s mission, vision, and impact to their donors and partners. The 2016 report, titled “The Path of Peace,” includes an expanded color palette to support the theme of traveling from dark to light. The design is clean and simple, allowing World Relief’s powerful content to shine.
The 2017 annual report, “Love in Action,” embodies the theme of dark to light. Similar to 2016’s, this report includes handwritten typography to communicate warmth and showcases imagery that conveys optimism and hope.
The suite of evergreen print pieces follows the style set forth in the annual reports and serve as an introduction to World Relief. The format of each piece reflects the level of detail of the format. The poster serves as a very high-level introduction, and the book provides a detailed look at World Relief’s Church Empowerment Zones.
