Since its inception in 1987, Village Enterprise has started over 66,000 businesses, trained more than 241,700 entrepreneurs, and transformed over 1.4 million lives. Their international team works collaboratively with governments, other nonprofits, and private sector companies to ensure their approach to poverty alleviation is scalable, sustainable, and locally driven.

Over the past five years, Village Enterprise has experienced a time of incredible growth and seen more than double the impact of their previous five years. The website provides an overview of this monumental time period through sections divided by Village Enterprise’s key focus areas: ending extreme poverty, driving climate resilience, empowering women, supporting refugees, and investing in youth.
