Girls Inc. of Alameda County has always fought for equality for women and girls, specifically in the Bay Area. So, when the 2016 election touched on issues at the heart of their mission, Girls Inc. of Alameda County was compelled to add their voice to the conversation. We created an integrated campaign called, “Girls Have the Right.” In addition to social media and web elements, we invited people to print out a sign and write their own ending to the sentence, “Girls have the right to ___________.” It provided a platform for people in the Bay Area to speak up for girls’ and women’s equality, while spreading awareness of Girls Inc. of Alameda County’s brand and mission. “Girls Have the Right” became a rallying cry throughout the organization and among its supporters.

Girls Inc. of Alameda County connects girls from underserved neighborhoods with access to the resources and opportunities they need to navigate gender, economic, and racial barriers, and realize their potential. Housed in the beautiful Simpson Center in downtown Oakland, Girls Inc. of Alameda County provides innovative programs for girls in elementary, middle, and high school, and is relentless in its commitment to inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold. Girls Inc. has impacted the lives of 10,568 girls through programs, services, training, and outreach.

“Advocate Creative has increased visibility for Girls Inc.’s mission and has helped us to tell our story. They have been instrumental in implementing our communications and fundraising strategy. They are a joy to work with!”
